Locations
Lutho has a dedicated server in a state-of-the-art datacentre facility in Michigan in the USA that hosts our clients' websites.
The group's head office is in Johannesburg and our primary client support centre is located in Midrand, South Africa.
We are represented elsewhere in South Africa through our network of consultants.
Connection speed
A fast connection to the Internet is an absolute priority.
Lutho's server is connected, via the data centre, to Tier-1 bandwidth providers such as MCI, AT&T, Savvis and Level3 that provide super-fast connections globally.
Security
Datacenter access is strictly limited to technical staff and the datacente is equiped with electronic security systems and motion detection cameras.
Power systems
Power supply to our server and accompanying infrastructure is assured through power monitoring systems, generators and uninteruptable power supplies (UPSs).
Each generator is test run at least once a week to ensure they are ready in the event they are needed and generator power is activated automatically by a transfer
switch in the event of a power failure.
Our client support centre is equiped with a UPS system to cater for power outages. Because our client support systems are Internet based, we are able
to easily relocate operations in the event of an emergency.
Cooling systems
The temperature and humidity in the data centre are precisely regulated year round to ensure optimal equipment reliability.
Air filtration systems actively remove foreign particulates from circulation.
